Offering an elegant atmosphere and fine menu, Rembrandts was a welcome addition to the Selkirk/Lockport culinary scene. We had enjoyed some nice lunches there before, but I was a little wary of bring some of my top clients there for a dinner. Unfortunately my fears were well founded as the evening was an unmitigated disaster. While the servers seemed attentive enough, there was a bad vibe going on, almost like an unseen "situation" was causing a panic. From the time we ordered, it was approximately 75 minutes to get our meals! By the time they arrived we were actually ready to leave. As you imagine, this made for plenty of awkward silences as we seemed a bit confused even after five or six apologetic and frantic visits from our servers. On a positive note, the food was decent, but our evening was long since soured.
